RE: Kwikee customer service!!!!!!!!!

Clay, I finally got through on the number provided by 96Bounder30E. When I did, the guy told me to go to my local dealer and get a conversion kit. I explained that I only needed the motor. He said sorry, you need a conversion kit. The number is: 1-800-334-4712. Good Luck!!

Kwikee customer service!!!!!!!!!

Has anyone tried to contact Kwikee customer service lately. I have been trying all day and always get a recording. I finally punched "l" for voice mail. I promply got a recording that went something like this: "If you are an owner or user, please contact your local RV dealer for repair information. If you are a dealer, please dial the 800 number you were provided".
I called them a couple of years ago and got outstanding help. Have they quit assisting their customers????????

Black streaks embedded in paint

My neighbor purchased a 1999 Ameri-lite camper made by Gulfstream. It was parked for a few years under oak trees. After a good washing, it still has black streaks embedded in the paint. The sides are the corrugated type (aluminum). We tried various waxes and cleaners to no avail. Does anyone have a suggestion how he could get the black streaks out?????????

RE: Step Problem

With the door open (so the step won't move) tap the motor with a hammer several times (tap not hit). Then check it. I have the same problem and it is the contacts in the motor. I will change the motor soon.

Yes, I have been using "EQUAL" (beads in a bag) for about 4 years. Seems to work well.

Sealand Traveler. It is a china bowl, and works great. Have been using ours for about 8 years and replaced the seal one time.

Pac-Brake lubrication

What do you all use to lubricate your pacbrake??? My owners manual says use Permatex Super Lube. I can't find it anywhere on the web, and/or in retail stores like Walmart, Target, etc. Any help greatly appreciated.

RE: Onan Marquis gold 5500 Starts won't run

Circuit board or voltage regulator. Crank it up and keep holding the start button in. If it continues to run with the start button held in, it is most likely the voltage regulator. You can take the circuit board and the voltage regulator to a RV repair place and they can test each one.

RE: 07 Knight batteries going dead

I have a 1997 Monaco Windsor, and the inverter/charger charges all batteries. The inverter is a Freedom 20. There is a "Battery Maintainer" located in the engine compartment, and according to my owners manual it is to charge the chassis batteries. I have owned it eight years and never had a problem. (This is when plugged into shore power)

RE: replacement parts

My Friend replaced his motor on Kwikee Steps with a "Seimen window lift motor" P/N: WL43003. They had it in stock at Auto-Zone and I think he said it was between $65 and $70. It works fine, he says.

RE: Questions about Wine?

I too had never been a wine drinker until about 3 years ago. Then some friends introduced my wife and I to "Hatteras Red" made by Duplin Wineries located in Rose Hill, NC. They offer many wines and now we have tried most of them and they are GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!
I now order about three cases from them about every three months. I can get three cases (12 bottles per case) shipped to me for $300 which averages about $8+ per bottle including shipping.
Here is a link to them duplinwinery.com.
Hope you enjoy it.

RE: Removing dealers name tag

Paracops, I removed mine with Ronson Lighter Fluid. It is nothing but Naptha and will not damage your paint. I use it a lot of places where glue residue removal is a problem. Have been using it for years with great results. Use only Ronson, as some of the other ones will damage your paint.

RE: Erratic tachometer

I don't know about the Endeavor, but I have a 1997 Monaco Windsor and had the same problem. On mine the tach gets it's signal from the alternator. I checked the wiring on the back of the alternator and found two wires loose and corroded. Cleaned both terminals and tightened the nuts for the wires. All works good now.
